English to be taught in class 1 – 2 – 3 in Gujarati medium schools

Gandhinagar: State Education Minister Jitubhai Vaghani, announced today that students of Class 1 to Class 3 of Gujarati medium schools will be taught English as a subject with words and pictures from the upcoming session.

While talking to the media about the Board’s result of the class tenth that was announced earlier today, Minister in reply to a question informed that English will be taught verbally in classes one and two as a subject however class three students will learn English from books.

Till now, English has been taught as a subject in Gujarati medium schools starting in grade 4.

Jitubhai Vaghani also congratulated the student of class 10th that have passed today with unprecedented results and emphasized to those who weren’t successful to keep their spirits high and continue to strive for success next year with hard work and new ambitions. DeshGujarat
