Demand for show of stand-up comic Vir Das to be cancelled in Vadodara
June 10, 2022
Vadodara: A You-tuber, Shubham Mishra, along with some of his friends held a protest in front of the office of the Vadodara district collector and handed over to him a memorandum demanding that a show of stand-up comedian Vir Das to be held on June 17 be cancelled owing to his anti-India mindset.
According to Mishra, Das, despite being an Indian, frequently defames the country during his visits overseas.
A performance by anybody who insults India despite living here would be a blot on the reputation of the city as a hub of culture and heritage, Mishra said.
