ACB detains Mamlatdar office employee after catching him red-handed accepting bribe

Bhavnagar: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught red-handed an employee at the circle officer’s office in the mamlatdar office in Talaja taluka of Bhavnagar district accepting a bribe of Rs 11,000 for handing over to the complainant documents regarding a plot of land he had purchased through an official sale deed agreement.

The accused employee, Yashpalsinh Rajendrasinh Sarvaiya, had already taken Rs 4,000 from the complainant and was supposed to receive Rs 11,000 more as bribe in return for the land document.

However, the complainant had no intention of paying the bribe and contacted the ACB on the toll free number.

The ACB laid a trap and caught Sarvaiya in the act of accepting Rs 11,000 bribe money. Sarvaiya has been promptly detained by the ACB, which also recovered the sum of Rs 11,000 from him. DeshGujarat
