Cabinet Meeting pre-poned to Monday for second successive week
June 12, 2022
Gandhinagar: The chief minister will hold a cabinet meeting during the upcoming week on Monday instead of Wednesday, the usual day earmarked for cabinet meetings, according to instructions that have been issued to other ministers and department secretaries late Saturday evening.
The reason for the second successive week of holding cabinet meetings at the start of the week on Monday instead of the usual Wednesday is not yet clear but it is believed that CM Bhupendra Patel has another important program scheduled for Wednesday.
After the cabinet meeting at 10 am on Monday, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Mukesh Puri has convened a meeting of all departmental ACSs, secretaries and commissioners at the secretariat in the afternoon at around 3 pm to prepare and plan for the Vande Gujarat Vikas Yatra that has been proposed to be held continuously for 15 days, starting July 1, 2022.
The main offices of the various departments were working even on Saturday to prepare literature about the different development programs implemented in Gujarat over the last two decades.
After this meeting of the secretaries, members of the core group will have to attend another meeting to be chaired by Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil at the chief minister’s residence on Monday evening. DeshGujarat.
