One booked for alleged rape of Hindu girl

Surat: A Muslim man allegedly raped a Hindu female in a rented room after eloping with her in Surat.

The accused Israj alias Karan Mohammad Jalil Khan lives in a rented house in Archna school area in Varachha for 6 years and does tailoring work. He had an affair with a neighbouring Hindu female. He had gifted a mobile phone to her 10 days ago. The female kept the mobile on silent mode and used it to talk to the accused. The accused rented another room in Puna Sitanagar society 6 days ago.

He told the Hindu female that he is willing to marry her and live with her in that room. The accused and the Hindu female eloped 2 days ago. The female’s family started to find her after she didn’t return home till night. Her family doubted the accused after they saw him near their home. They filed a complaint at Varachha police station and told about their doubt on Israj. Varachha police called him at the police station for inquiry. The police rescued the female and handed her over to her family after the accused confessed. The police nabbed the accused after filing crime of Atrocity Act and Rape against him. DeshGujarat
