ACB Gujarat nabs another Sarpanch in bribe case

Amreli: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed Sarpanch of Nana Munjiyasar village in Bagasara taluka of Amreli in a bribe case involving the sum of Rs 3,00,000

The complainant runs a business of groundnut seeds. The farmers of Nana Munjiyasar village had purchased seeds from him. The complainant had paid redemption to the farmers after the seeds came out to be rotten.

The accused Sarpanch Mansukhbhai Bachubhai Kyada contacted the complainant through a call and demanded a bribe of Rs 5,00,000 after learning about the matter. The amount was reduced to Rs 3,00,000 after arguments. The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 3,00,000 from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB. The accused is detained. DeshGujarat
