IMD forecasts rain in parts of Gujarat on January 27 and 28

Gandhinagar: Meteorological Department has released a forecast predicting unseasonal rain on the 27th and 28th of January in the North and Central Gujarat region.
According to the bulletin, “Light rain is very likely at isolated places in the district of North Gujarat region namely Mahisagar” on 27th January.
For 28th January, “Light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Ahmedabad, Anand, Aravalli, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar, and Sabarkantha.”
“In the next 48 hours north and central regions of Gujarat are expected to receive light rain, meanwhile Saurashtra and Kutch’s regions are likely to remain dry,” said Manorama Mohanty, Director at Gujarat headquarters of the central government’s weather department – IMD.
“The temperature will rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours, and after 48 hours, the mercury may fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius,” she added.
The unseasonal rainfall warning comes when there are a lot of Marriage functions and receptions planned for today and tomorrow.
