Vipul Mittra appointed as Chairman of GNFC

Gandhinagar: Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Vipul Mittra has been appointed as Chairman of Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers Company (GNFC) as his junior Raj Kumar (IAS) has been made Chief Secretary. Mittra as the senior of Raj Kumar can’t function under him as Additional Chief Secretary, and therefore he has been transferred as Chairman of GNFC. This is a standard practice that was lastly seen in the year 2014 when SK Nanda, the senior most IAS of Gujarat cadre in the State was shifted to head GSFC (Gujarat State Fertilizers Corporation) as the State government appointed his junior SK Pandian to the post of Chief Secretary.
