IT searches at premises of Umar General led General Group in Surat

Surat: The Income Tax (IT) department has continued searches at around 15 premises linked to Umar General led General group. IT sleuths have recovered documents of financial transactions during the search. Umar General is the leading person in the Meman community of Surat. He has four bungalows on Gorat road of Surat. General Group’s office is located on the ring road of Surat. The group has a factory in the Mandvi area. The group has hundreds of crores of annual turnover. Incorporated in year 1980, General group is into Manufacturer & Exporters of Highend Garment Fabrics.
