ACB Gujarat traps a middleman receiving bribe on behalf of GST Inspector

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police has nabbed a middleman working on behalf of a State GST Inspector in a bribe case involving the sum of Rs. 2.37 lakh. While the middleman is nabbed, the GST Inspector is yet to be nabbed in this case.
According to ACB, a GST official had demanded Rs. 2.37 lakh bribe to not harass a complainant whose truck full of scrap was stopped by them. On behalf of the GST Inspector, a middleman had demanded a bribe. The GST Inspector had done related talks with the complainant over a Speakerphone call.
The accused GST Inspector’s name is Vipul Kanejiya, a class-3 Inspector of the State Tax Commissioner Office. A middleman nabbed is Nilesh Parmar, a resident of the Naroda area in Ahmedabad. The trap was arranged at Dwarkesh Pan Parlor in the Naroda area of Ahmedabad. DeshGujarat
