Surat: The Commissioner of the Surat Municipal Corporation, Shalini Agarwal, issued an unconditional apology to the Gujarat High Court on Monday, a week after she was reprimanded by the judge for not taking the court proceedings seriously.
Agarwal complied with the court order by submitting an affidavit apologizing to the court and informing the court that the possession of final plot No. 10 of the Limbayat Town Planning Scheme had been restored.

After perusing the affidavit, Justice Nirzar Desai cautioned her to be more careful in the future.
The HC had summoned Agarwal over a petition filed by Dinesh Vakhariya, who claimed that the Surat Municipal Corporation had demolished his 50-year-old property and handed over the land to a third party while the case was still pending before the HC. DeshGujarat
