Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC) will purchase an aerial ladder platform of 70-meter height at a cost of around Rs 12.92 crore to upgrade its existing fire control system.

The proposal has been forwarded to the standing committee of SMC for approval. SMC made the decision to purchase more aerial ladder platforms of 70 meters in height considering the construction of buildings up to the height of 100 meters in the city in future.

SMC will purchase the machinery from a company Bronto Skylift in Finland through its authorized agent in Mumbai at a cost of Rs 12.92 crore. The machinery will be delivered in around 1.5 years after the decision is made. DeshGujarat
