SMC may launch its own packaged drinking water ‘Tapi Neer’

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) is likely to launch packaged drinking water named ‘Tapi Neer’ in the market.

Standing committee chairman Paresh Patel said a meeting was held in this connection and a possible tie-up with Sumul dairy was also deliberated.

Patel said that Sumul and SMC are big brands themselves. The residents of the city will get a good choice for packaged drinking water at a reasonable price if both SMC and Sumul jointly launch packaged drinking water in the market. SMC will provide treated Tapi water and Sumul will do packaging and marketing. SMC will also get a new source of revenue due to the plan. DeshGujarat
