IPS on special duty for five communally sensitive police station areas of Vadodara

Vadodara: DIG Nilesh Jadadiya has been specially appointed for communally sensitive areas of Vadodara, in the backdrop of recent violence in which Ram Navami processions were attacked in Muslims populated areas.

Jadadiya’s appointment is for the area that consists of five police stations – Varasiya, City, Panigate, Vadi, and Karelibag.

Jadadiya is DIG of Coastal Security. He is camping in Vadodara on special duty. Jadadiya held a meeting with city police commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh on his arrival on special duty.

The Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi today in reply to media queries categorically stated that all those involved in riots are being nabbed and those who have escaped outside the state will also be nabbed.

Meanwhile the City police commissioner has reportedly requested the State government to fill the post of Additional Police Commissioner (Las & Order). This post was created last year but it is vacant at present.
