Kudasan: A customer living in Africa, who booked a flat in a scheme in Kudasan, Gujarat, filed a complaint against the builder for selling the scheme to another person and not giving possession to him.
Pinakinbhai Govindbhai Sharma, mainly from the Prantiya region and currently living in Burundi in East Africa, filed a complaint at Infocity police station against Ramesh Devabhai Patel (who lives in Dev-Arya Bungalow, Motera, Ahmedabad). In 2013, Sharma booked a flat (E-503) in the Shukan Royal scheme being built in Kudasan by the Shukan Royal Corporation. The builder of the scheme at that time was Ramesh Patel. The transaction of Rs 46 lakh was made to the builder for the flat, and Sharma had paid money by cheque and cash. Then, he shifted to Africa.
Later, he learned via his nephew that Ramesh Patel had sold the entire scheme to another builder, Ashish Patel. The scheme’s owner changed, and it was renamed as Shrifal Heights. When Sharma contacted the new builder, his staff demanded an additional Rs 8 lakh to give possession. Sharma refused to pay it. Then, the new builder showed him a flat in poor condition and demanded additional money for it, as per Sharma’s complaint. Sharma filed a complaint against Ramesh Patel for not providing possession of the flat. DeshGujarat
