Vadodara Crime Branch locates missing twin sisters in Kheda; one of them got married

Vadodara: The Crime Branch on Sunday located twin sisters who had been missing for almost 50 days in the Kheda district.

According to a crime branch officer, one of the sisters, Sarika (23), got married to a man she was in a relationship with, and the other sister, Sheetal, has been staying with them. As both girls are adults, there is no offence in their decision to live their life the way they want.

Their father, Chiman Vankar, had filed a missing persons’ complaint at Sayajigunj police station after failing to trace his daughters since February 17. Vankar had suspected a man named Kishan Solanki of abducting his daughters and had written a letter to the CM and home minister mentioning Solanki’s name. The investigation has revealed that Kishan Solanki has nothing to do with this case, a police officer said.

However, investigations revealed that Vankar’s daughter had met a man in Kheda when Vankar was posted there. She wanted to marry him, which her father was against. So, the twin sisters left their home in February and did not return. DeshGujarat
