ACB Gujarat nabs Additional Assistant Engineer in bribery case

Chhota Udaipur: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed the additional assistant engineer of roads and buildings panchayat sub-department of Nasvadi in a bribery case of Rs. 2 lakhs.
The complainant had done slab drain (small bridge) work in Nasvadi taluka, and a bill of Rs. 1.2 crores was approved for the work. The accused additional assistant engineer, Harishbhai Sardarbhai Chaudhari, demanded a bribe of Rs. 10 lakhs from him. The complainant paid Rs. 2 lakhs to him. The accused often demanded the remaining amount by calling him to the office. The complainant agreed to pay Rs. 2 lakhs more.
The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking the bribe of Rs. 2 lakhs from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB. The accused has been detained. DeshGujarat
