Gujarat govt to speed up renewable energy projects by granting NA Status
April 14, 2023
Gandhinagar: The state government on Thursday, introduced a new policy to speed up renewable energy (RE) projects, including solar, wind, and green hydrogen energy projects, by providing deemed NA (non-agriculture) certificates to obtain land clearance quickly.
The state revenue department issued a government resolution (GR) asking all district collectors to provide deemed NA certificates to all RE projects, as done for other industrial projects. The GR added that all types of RE projects, including those under the PM-KUSUM scheme, will be given deemed NA status as bona fide industrial projects. The applicants will need to pay the prescribed fees and charges.
With the new policy, the state government aims to allocate over 4 lakh hectares of land for green hydrogen projects and speed up land acquisition for RE projects. DeshGujarat
