Theft unheard of despite lack of doors in houses in Satada Village of Rajkot

Rajkot: In Satada village of Rajkot, theft is unheard of despite the absence of main gates in any of the houses.

The village is located 35 km away from Rajkot city on the Ahmedabad highway, and the residents have faith in Bhairava Dada, whose temple is situated 1.5 km from the village. The temple doesn’t have a gate. According to the sarpanch of the village, Valabhai Zada, a gate was built at the entrance of the village years ago, but it was found in Vadvali the next day. Two villagers who had installed main gates in their homes faced significant losses due to theft. This incident led to the realization that the village was blessed by Bhairava Dada. Consequently, the villagers decided not to install gates in their homes.

Although the village’s 200 houses lack main gates, they have doors for individual rooms. Every three years, a religious function is held at Bhairava Dada mandir, featuring religious programs and meals for all the village residents. DeshGujarat
