Liquor party at BJP leader’s place raided in Valsad

Valsad: The police have held 15 including a former councilor of Valsad municipality in a raid at a liquor party organized to mark a birthday.
Darshan Jashvantbhai Patel, a BJP leader, and husband of former female councilor of Valsad municipality Jeshtika Patel, had held a birthday party for his daughter at the terrace of his society on Thursday. A team of city police raided there after receiving the information about liquor in the party.
The police found liquor bottles, beer tins, chakna and other items. Total 12 to 15 persons were present at the place. The police found whisky bottles in the fridge while searching the house with house owner Darshan Patel. The police seized items worth Rs 28.64 lakh including liquor bottles, phones, cash, and vehicles. DeshGujarat
