Online blackmailers who collected Rs. 2.70 crore from Gujarat based industrialist nabbed

Ahmedabad: The cyber cell of city police has nabbed two accused members of a gang who extorted an amount of Rs 2.70 crore by blackmailing an industrialist of Navrangpura area of the city after making his nude video.

The team of cyber cell nabbed Tahirkhan Bhartukhan (age 48) and another minor from Bharatpur district in Rajasthan. The accused allegedly blackmailed a senior citizen industrialist who has a bungalow on St Xavier’s college road in Navrangpura through his nude video and made him transfer Rs 2.70 crore online. The accused had allegedly told the industrialist that a female offering virtual sex with him on video had committed suicide and threatened to inform the Delhi CBI and the police. The accused made him transfer Rs 2,69,32,000 online to delete his nude video clip.

The police conducted search operations in Mewat, Haryana, and Bharatpur, Rajasthan, and nabbed five accused for online fraud, including two minors. DeshGujarat
