Amdavad: The Cattle Nuisance Control Department (CNCD) of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to deployed bouncers in two shifts at 96 hotspots in the city to control stray cattle menace, the AMC informed Gujarat High Court on Monday.
CNCD has reported success in its initiative to combat cattle nuisance activity. Additionally, the AMC also submitted that it has proposed a comprehensive policy for Rs 75,000 compensation for deaths caused by attacks from stray cattle on public roads in the city. The proposal was sent to the state government on March 23, following orders passed by the State Human Rights Commission.
While there is a policy for compensation in case of deaths caused by wild animal attacks, there is no policy to control stray cattle menace on public streets. The hearing has been posted for later this week, with the AMC instructed to provide reports on cattle nuisance and road reconstruction and repairs to the petitioner. DeshGujarat
