ACB Gujarat nabs social welfare officer in bribe case

Palanpur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has nabbed the social welfare officer of Palanpur in a bribery case involving Rs. 10,000.

The complainant runs a government-granted hostel, and the accused social welfare officer, Amit Narendrabhai Patel, demanded a bribe of Rs. 10,000 to approve the grant without finding faults and to pass the government grant for upkeeping the students.

The complainant contacted the ACB as they were unwilling to pay the bribe. During a trap executed by the ACB, the accused was caught taking a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from the complainant. The accused has been detained. DeshGujarat
