Locals in Miyani village complain about false complaints under atrocity law

Porbandar: One of the most allegedly misused laws is once again facing protest. The locals of Miyani village in Porbandar gathered and went to the administration offices to complain to the SP (superintendent of Police) and district collector about the complaints under Attrocity law, being falsely filed in the village by some elements.

Bhikhubha Parbatbhai Manek, Bharatbhai Manek, and other locals of Miyani village made a written appeal to the SP and the collector in this regard. They stated that several political leaders of the village repeatedly file Atrocity and other complaints with the intention of harassing the locals. The locals further stated that threats to trap them in criminal cases are issued by scheduled caste (SC) people when attempts are made to convince them.
