AMC staffer held in bribe case

Amdavad: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has nabbed one Hemraj Ramabhai Dafda, a permanent labourer in the engineering department of the West Zone Stadium in Ward 2 of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), in connection with a bribery case worth Rs. 20,000.
According to reports, the complainant had applied for a new water pipeline, and digging for the same was underway in Batrisi Hall, located near his home. The complainant had approached Dafda to install a water pipeline in his home, who demanded Rs. 25,000 as a bribe to illegally connect his house pipeline with the Batrisi Hall pipeline. After negotiations, the bribe was settled at Rs. 20,000.
As the complainant was not willing to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB, which caught Dafda red-handed while taking the bribe. The ACB has detained the accused. DeshGujarat
