Shortage of laborers due to fear of wild animals

Junagadh: The construction work of the upcoming Jawahar Navodaya school near Khadiya village of Junagadh district is going on in a slow pace because the laborers and construction workers are not ready to join the work here due to the presence of wild animals like lions, leopards, snakes and pythons among others.

The location is in proximity to Gir Jungle and the visits of wild animals are frequent here. About 200 laborers were hired for construction work here. However, most of them left the site, leaving just less than two dozen laborers behind.

The district administration has decided to build a compound wall to create safe conditions for laborers and expedite the work. DeshGujarat
