GSHSEB board member writes to CM about fake schools in state

Gandhinagar: Priyavadan Korat, a member of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), has written to the state’s chief minister and education minister, urging them to investigate and take action against the presence of fake schools in the state.
In the letter, Korat highlighted the existence of several schools in the state, that exist only on paper and provide admissions to students from Class 11 who aim take admission in IIMs, IITs, and medical colleges.
Korat alleged that such schools lack physical infrastructure and teaching staff and do not conduct any academic activities, yet they manage to secure the board’s approval for Class 12 science stream practical exams. DeshGujarat
