Gujarat to get relief from heatwave from Sunday; 45 degrees in Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar: After temperatures in two cities crossed 45 degrees on Friday, Gujarat is expected to get relief from heatwave conditions starting on Sunday, May 14th. Ahmedabad was the hottest city in the state with the mercury touching 45.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Patan at 45.3 degrees and the state capital, Gandhinagar, at 43.7 degrees.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), “No large change in maximum temperatures during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, a gradual fall by two-three degrees during the subsequent four days is very likely,’
Conditions of discomfort due to high temperatures in the 42°C to 44°C range are likely to prevail over the interior of Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch for the next two days, added the forecast bulletin.
Heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail over Diu on Saturday, 13th May.
