May 17, 2023
Paldi: A grant-in-aid college has approached Gujarat University with a request for closure and a halt in admitting students for the upcoming academic year.
PT Thakkar College, located in Paldi, has reiterated its demand to shut down, a request that was previously denied in July 2022. The college cited the age and poor condition of its building, which is 60 years old. Additionally, the college is facing financial challenges that hinder its ability to sustain operations.
In July 2022, Gujarat University rejected closure requests from HK BBA College, PT Thakkar College, and LV Upadhyay College, as the admission committee had already allotted seats to students. DeshGujarat
