Surat Crime Branch nabs cop for illegal sale of seized liquor

Surat: The crime branch has nabbed Head Constable Anil Mori of Saroli police in a case involving the sale of liquor that was seized by him at a check post.

During his duty at a check post, Head Constable Anil Mori confiscated foreign liquor. Allegedly, he later sold it to Pravin Patel, who operates an egg cart. Pravin Patel had been previously apprehended by the police. During the investigation, it was discovered that Anil Mori was involved in the illegal activity. Instead of following proper procedure and filing a case after confiscating the liquor, he is accused of selling it externally.
