Gandhinagar: Over 500 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state are likely to offer cybersecurity-related courses to students.
The cyber security course will be possibly introduced in the ITIs after receiving approval in the State cabinet meeting. Currently, over 150 courses are being offered in the ITIs across the state, including plumber, computer operator, data entry operator, fitter, mechanic, carpenter, and more.
As part of their plan, the state’s labor and employment department intends to introduce a new course on cyber security for students. The course will cover topics such as information security, denial of service, sniffing, spoofing, honeypot, hacking, threats, type I malware, hacker methodology, network security, the Indian cyber ecosystem, and new technologies.
