Rs. 16 lakh fee for B.Com; NSUI cadres protest at Ahmedabad University

Ahmedabad: Main opposition Congress party’s students’ wing National Students Union of India (NSUI) cadres today staged a protest at the campus of Ahmedabad University for charging a fee of Rs 16 lakh per student for the course of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com).
The NSUI cadres alleged that Ahmedabad University, a private university by the Lalbhai family, charges a fee of Rs 16 lakh per student for the Bcom course. NSUI held a march from CEPT university gate to the admin office of Ahmedabad University in protest.
NSUI members entered the campus by jumping the closed gate of the university after tussling with the police. Around 50 members entered the campus the same way. They chanted Ram Dhun in the campus and shouted slogans demanding to reduce fees. DeshGujarat
