In April 2022, Faisal Patel had tweeted hinted his displeasure with Congress party and said he has kept his options open. “Tired of waiting around. No encouragement from the top brass. Keeping my options open,” Faisal Patel, son of Ahmed Patel had tweeted. The tweet was later removed.
Ahmed Patel, then Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat and party’s national treasurer apart from political secretary of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, passed away due to Covid-19 infection and related health issues in November 2020. DeshGujarat
