One booked under POCSO in Vadodara for faking identity as Hindu and raping a Hindu female

Padra: The local police have nabbed one Sahil Vhora for repeatedly raping a minor Hindu female after trapping her in a love affair by identifying himself with a Hindu name.

The accused, Sahil Salim Vhora (age 26), is married, has kids, and lives in Zandabajar, Padra. The minor Hindu female, studying in her first year of college, lived in Padra a year ago. She came into contact with the accused, Sahil Vhora, at her friend’s home. The accused, Sahil, after getting her number through her friend, called her and identified himself as Viki. He then frequently called her and befriended her later trapping her in a love affair.

The accused Sahil often took her to a highway passing from Darapura village near Padra and raped her. The minor female found that the accused was Muslim when she saw him wearing Muslim attire in Padra, during a Muslim festival. The minor female then told the accused that she wanted to discontinue their relationship. The accused called her to meet for the last time and took her to the highway near Darapura. He enticed her into marriage and tried to continue their relationship. The accused told her that he was married and had children, but he wanted to continue their affair. When the minor female refused, he allegedly beat her. The surrounding people rescued her from the accused.

Sahil threatened to kill her and harm her reputation if she didn’t continue the affair. The minor female shared the matter with her widowed mother and brother.
