Palanpur police book one for giving triple talaq to wife after minor argument over cooler fan direction

Palanpur: The police have booked one Zaid Mohammad Faruq Kaldar for giving triple talaq to his wife after she argued with him for turning a cooler towards him.

Tohida Mohammad Faruqi Udushi, living in Sunni Vor Vas in Dhalvas in Palanpur, filed a complaint. As per the details of the case, Tohida got married to Zaid Mohammad Faruq Kaldar, living in Dhalvas, in 2018. She got pregnant a year after her marriage. Her husband and mother-in-law allegedly mentally and physically tortured her by having doubts about her. The torture from her in-laws increased after she gave birth to a girl. During her second pregnancy, they threatened to give her triple talaq if she gave birth to a girl again.

Her husband, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law used to physically and mentally torture her after fighting over minor issues. Her husband allegedly spoke abusive words and beat her when she argued with him over turning a cooler towards him. He allegedly gave her triple talaq by speaking ‘talaq’ three times.
