Saraspur woman booked for hoax call to Police on stone pelting

Ahmedabad: A woman from Saraspur is booked by the Shaherkotda police for providing false information to the city police control room regarding an incident of stone pelting in a certain area on Sunday evening.

As per the filed FIR with Shaherkotda police, an unidentified woman reported to the police control room that a group of men were pelting stones near Potalia Crossroads in Saraspur. A team from Shaherkotda police went to the caller’s residence at Judge Saheb Chawl and discovered that the woman responsible for the call was Payal Patni.
