Rains in parts of Gujarat till June 28; Heavy rainfall warning for South Gujarat from June 25-28

Gandhinagar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted light rainfall in certain areas of Gujarat from June 24 to June 27, as the state waits for the arrival of Monsoon 2023. Additionally, heavy rainfall warning is also issued for the parts of South Gujarat from June 24 to June 28.

According to the IMD bulletin, “Light to Moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at a few places in the districts namely Ahmedabad, Anand, Aravalli, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar and Panchmahal, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surendranagar and in Diu; at many places in all the districts of South Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli,” on June 24

On June 25, “Light to Moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at a few places in the districts Ahmedabad, Anand, Aravalli, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar and Panchmahal, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Rajkot , Surendranagar and in Diu; at many places in all the districts of South Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli”

On June 26, “Light to Moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at a few places in the districts namely Ahmedabad, Anand, Aravalli, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar and Panchmahal, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surendranagar and in Diu; at many places in all the districts of South Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli”

On June 27, “Light to Moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at many places in all the districts of South Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; at a few places in all the districts of North Gujarat region, Saurashtra and in Diu”

On June 28, “Light to Moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at many places in all the districts of Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; at a few places in all the districts of Saurashtra and in Diu; at isolated places in Kutch district.

June 24 : Heavy rains at isolated places very likely in the districts of Gujarat region namely Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod Mahisagar, Vadodara & Chhotaudepur.

June 25: Heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Valsad and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.

June 26: Heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Valsad and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.

June 27 : Heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Surat, Navsari, Valsad and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.

June 28 : Heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
