Heavy to very heavy rain forecast for parts of Gujarat from June 27 to July 1

Gandhinagar: The Southwest Monsoon has advanced further, encompassing most parts of the north Arabian Sea and now covering the entire state of Gujarat as of June 27, 2023.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy to very heavy rains in isolated areas of Gujarat for the next five days. Additionally, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are expected in most places across all districts of the Gujarat region, Saurashtra-Kutch, and in Diu, Daman, and Dadra Nagar Haveli during these 5 days from June 27 to July 01.

June 27th: Heavy to very heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of the South Gujarat region namely Navsari, Valsad and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli. 

Heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang and Tapi; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar Gir Somnath and Kutch.

June 28th: Heavy to very heavy rains are very likely at a few places with isolated extremely heavy falls in the districts of the South Gujarat region namely Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli.

June 29th: Heavy to very heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the district of South Gujarat region namely Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli.

July 1st: Heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli and Gir Somnath.
