A complaint was filed against the bootlegger Asim Nizam Shaikh- a father of three children, for the rape of a 21 years old Hindu female of Khergam, Navsari. The accused Asim Nizam Shaikh allegedly got the Hindu female married to his Hindu friend who is accused of a murder case, to avoid being booked for Love Jihad. An SIT is formed for the investigation. The investigation was handed over to Police Inspector PG Chaudhari under the guidance of Navsari DySP Sanjay Rai.
