VHP and Bajrang Dal bust drug racket in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal busted a drug racket in a hotel in the Nehrunagar area of the city here during a check conducted for love jihad.
Ahmedabad VHP spokesperson, Hitendrasinh Rajput, received a call informing him that a Muslim man was in a hotel in Nehrunagar with a Hindu female. VHP members, along with Bajrang Dal North Gujarat president Jvalit Mehta, went to the hotel for inspection. Upon arrival, they found a female and a man at the hotel. The female appeared to be intoxicated and began arguing with VHP and Bajrang Dal members. The man managed to escape, and the female also left. However, Bajrang Dal members were able to seize the man’s phone before his escape. A call was received on the phone, confirming their suspicions that they had arrived to receive drugs. VHP members nabbed two individuals and initiated an inquiry.
One of the individuals confessed that they had come to receive the drugs. VHP members instructed him to make a call to the drug supplier, who was supposed to deliver the drugs in Paldi. VHP and Bajrang Dal members proceeded to Paldi and set up a trap to nab the drug supplier. They successfully caught the drug supplier, who arrived at Paldi in a rickshaw and discovered drugs in his possession.
Ellisbridge police and officials from other agencies also arrived at Paldi and found 4 grams of drugs. One person was nabbed, and another person is wanted. Bajrang Dal North Gujarat president Jvalit Mehta informed that they have obtained the names of several drug peddlers and Hindu females from the call list of a phone taken from one of the individuals.
