IndiGo launches Rajkot-Pune flight service

Rajkot: The number of flights at the Rajkot airport has been steadily increasing, and today IndiGo airline has commenced direct flights to Pune ahead of the opening of the Hirasar International Airport. This morning, the arrival of the direct flight from Pune was welcomed with a water salute and a grand reception by water cannons at the airport.

In July, three new flights were scheduled to start from Rajkot Airport. However, the Rajkot-Indore and Rajkot-Udaipur flights, which were supposed to commence on July 1, were unable to begin operations. Nevertheless, the new Rajkot-Pune flight successfully started on July 3. The flight departed from Pune at 7:30 am and landed at Rajkot airport at 9 am, receiving a grand welcome with a water cannon salute. The return flight from Rajkot took off at 9:45 am.

It is worth mentioning that the start of flights between Rajkot and Pune is particularly beneficial for Saurashtra’s businessmen. Previously, traders and students had to take flights to Pune via Mumbai, causing numerous difficulties. However, with the launch of direct flights between Rajkot and Pune, all these troubles have come to an end. DeshGujarat
