Ahmedabad: A new experiment has been conducted by the Ahmedabad City Police. A child-friendly police station room has been prepared at Paldi Police Station by the City Police in collaboration with the Maa Foundation. The purpose is to rescue children trapped in adverse situations and help them regain a normal life.

Today, the Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi, virtually inaugurated this child-friendly police station room.

On this occasion, a special training session program was held on creating a conducive environment for corrective and developmental approaches, especially for children. Experts provided guidance during the session.

Sanghavi mentioned the third area, which is the behaviour of traffic police towards citizens. He emphasized that if a citizen forgets their license or PUC (Pollution Under Control) certificate, the traffic police should not treat them unfairly. The fourth area is the elimination of corrupt practices. The police not only apprehend usurers who ruin ordinary families but also work towards returning their money, houses, and ornaments. They have also collaborated with banks to provide low-interest loan checks to thousands of citizens.

The fifth area highlighted by Sanghavi is the prevention of crimes against children. The police are focused on changing the mental condition of children by creating a favorable environment and preventing crimes against them. He congratulated the entire team of Ahmedabad City Police for their innovative approach in establishing a Child Friendly Police Station.

Addressing the policemen present, Harsh Sanghavi urged them to be determined in saving children from difficult situations and helping them lead normal lives again. He emphasized that the police have many responsibilities, including being sensitive and friendly to children in order to positively impact their mental well-being.
