Light to Moderate rain likely in Gujarat during July 12 – 17: IMD

Gandhinagar: The state of Gujarat took a sigh of relief as the rainfall subsided in most places of the state today. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely over the course of the whole week across the state from July 12 to July 17.

According to the IMD bulletin, Heavy rain is likely to occur at Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Surat, Valsad, Dang, Navsari, and Tapi on July 11.

The bulletin further states that a few places in Gujarat and Surat Kutch region are likely to get light to moderate rain from July 12 to 14. After that, rainfall is expected in most places across the state from July 15 to 17.

According to the weather forecast by IMD, “Light to Moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely at a few places in all the districts of the South Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; in the districts of the North Gujarat region, namely Patan, Aravalli, Ahmedabad, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar; in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Diu” on July 12.

On July 13, “Light to Moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely at a few places in all the districts of the South Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; in the districts of the North Gujarat region, namely Patan, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar; in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Surendranagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Diu.”

On July 14, “light to Moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely at a few places in all the districts of the South Gujarat region and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; in the districts of the North Gujarat region, namely Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar; in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Diu; at isolated places in Kutch district.”

However, Light to Moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely at a few places in all the districts of the Gujarat region and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli; at isolated places in all the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch and in Diu” during July 15 to July 17.
