July 15, 2023
Gandhinagar: The state government has initiated a pilot project for the face attendance system in primary schools located in Shahpur and sector 16 of Gandhinagar taluka.
On the first day of the pilot project, scanning of the students and teachers was conducted. Once the scanning process is completed, the system will be used for recording the attendance of teachers and students starting from Monday. The project is being implemented under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, with Centizen Technology Private Ltd. entrusted with the task. Company officials have visited both schools to oversee the implementation.
Prior to scanning, all necessary information such as students’ names, birth dates, unique IDs, and class details were provided. Teachers will also receive training and will be required to download a mobile application for the face attendance system. Internet connectivity is not necessary for marking attendance; it will only be required for uploading the attendance data. DeshGujarat
