Very heavy rain forecast for parts of Gujarat during July 18–20

Gandhinagar: After experiencing light rainfall for over a week, Gujarat is now bracing for heavy downpours in specific regions in the coming week. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that isolated areas in certain districts of Gujarat can anticipate heavy rainfall from July 17, with the possibility of very heavy rainfall in some locations over the next four days. Moreover, the state can expect light to moderate rain and thundershowers throughout the week, commencing on July 17.

According to the IMD bulletin, Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are highly likely to occur in several locations within all districts of the South Gujarat region, as well as in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. Isolated places in the North Gujarat region, specifically Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar, can expect the same. In addition, a few places within all districts of Saurashtra and Diu may experience such weather conditions on July 17 (today).

From July 18 to 22, Light to Moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely at many places in all the districts of Gujarat region, Saurashtra- Kutch and in Diu, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
