Fake driving license for Rs. 5,000; Over 15,000 had bought them, 4 arrested in Surat

Surat: As the Police have no system to verify the driving licenses whether are real or fake, the business of issuing fake driving licenses was hot for the criminals in Surat until they were caught this week by Police.

The Special Operation Group (SOG) of Surat Police has busted a racket of making fake driving licenses and arrested four persons. The accused had made and issued more than 15,000 fake driving licenses before they were caught. They were giving fake learning licenses for Rs. 3,000 and driving licenses for Rs. 5,000. They were also into the crime of issuing bogus mark sheet of class-10. Those who wish to have a job as a security man in private require to have class-10 pass status. Such men would go to these criminals for having a fake class-10 pass mark sheet and school leaving certificate.

The racket of issuing fake driving licenses was going on at Solar Computer located on the second floor of plot number one in Shivnagar society in the Pandesara area. Police have nabbed migrants from North India namely Mantukumar Ranvijay Singh(37), Akhilesh Rajeev Pal(23), Mayank Mishra(20), and Sanjiv Nishad(31) who are originally from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
