Union govt approves central deputation of a Gujarat cadre IAS

Gandhinagar: The Union government has granted approval for the central deputation of Ravi Shanakar, an IAS officer from the Gujarat cadre. He has been appointed as the director in the Department of Food and Public Distribution for a tenure of five years.
The appointment order requires the state government to release him from his current responsibilities immediately, as he is expected to assume his new position within three weeks. Currently, Shanakar holds the position of director (administration) at Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. DeshGujarat
