Gandhinagar: The police remand of retired IAS officer and former district collector, SK Langa, has been extended for three more days by the Gandhinagar court today.

The Government lawyer demanded a four-day remand on the grounds that some data related to illegal properties was discovered on his mobile phone. Furthermore, some of his accomplices are yet to be identified.

Langa is facing allegations of corruption and possessing disproportionate assets. He was arrested by Gandhinagar Police from a bungalow belonging to a late former Congress MP in Mount Abu. Initially, Langa was on a five-day remand that concluded on July 17. However, the court granted four more days of remand until July 21. Today, the court has granted another 3 days’ remand. In connection with this case, the police have also questioned Langa’s alleged partner and Congress politician, Balwant Gadhvi. DeshGujarat
