Vadodara: The City Crime Branch today apprehended Alpesh Limbachia, the BJP councillor of Manata Ward No-19, as the main conspirator in the pamphlet scandal alleging corruption against the Mayor of Vadodara.
A complaint was lodged with the Crime Branch after leaflets alleging corruption by Vadodara Mayor Nilesh Singh Rathore were distributed to the houses of BJP officials. The crime branch initiated an investigation based on the complaint and has also apprehended two other individuals, Amit Ghanshyam Limbachia, brother-in-law of BJP councillor Alpesh Limbachia, and Sadhu Akash Nai.
The crime branch nabbed Alpesh Limbachia this morning after his brother-in-law and Sadhu confessed to writing the pamphlet under Alpesh Limbachia’s instruction. The news of the BJP councilor’s arrest spread rapidly in the city’s BJP circles. However, when questioned about the arrest of Councilor Alpesh Limbachia, DCP Crime Yuvraj Singh Jadeja stated that Alpesh Limbachia is currently being interrogated.

As per the available information, the crime branch has begun questioning Alpesh Limbachia in the Patrika scandal, and the possibility of remanding him into police custody cannot be ruled out. It should be noted that after the arrest of his brother-in-law, Sadhu Akash Nai, Alpesh Limbachia resigned from his position as the Bharatiya Janata Party leader of Vadodara Municipal Corporation, and this announcement was made official by Vadodara City President Dr. Vijay Shah.

Meanwhile, following the arrest of councilor Alpesh Limbachia in the leaflet scandal today, it is highly likely that the city BJP city president will announce his suspension from the party at any time. It is important to mention that Amit Limbachia, the councilor’s brother-in-law, has already been suspended from the party in connection with the Patrika scandal. DeshGujarat
