ACB nabs class 3 supervisor of Vijapur Municipality in bribe case

Mehsana: The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Gujarat has nabbed a Class 3 Supervisor of Vijapur Municipality in a bribery case involving Rs. 7000.

According to the details, the complainant’s land falls within the limits of Vijapur municipality, and he needed a certificate for which the complainant approached the accused Natwalal Chimanlal Gurjar, Supervisor, Class – 3, Town Planning Branch of Vijapur Municipality. Instead of issuing the certificate, the accused demanded Rs. 7,000/- from the complainant.

As the complainant was not willing to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB, which caught the accused red-handed while taking the bribe in the toilet of the municipality office. The ACB has detained the accused, and further action will be taken. DeshGujarat
